Introduction to NOVOTECHNIK Sensor TMI Series
description
The starting and ending positions of TLM/TMI sensors with analog interfaces can be adjusted according to application requirements. The output range (0.. 10 V/10.. 0 V/0.. 20 mA, etc.) can be redefined. Up to two connection pins and simple programming steps can be used to recalibrate two position markers simultaneously. After reprogramming, the linear relationship set is still guaranteed.
Programming methods
The position marker (s) needs to be placed at the starting position of the new target. Continuously apply a high level to pin 8 (PROG) for at least 3 seconds to activate the programming mode. Subsequently, the high low transition (lasting 3 seconds) on pin 4 (DIAG) will set the starting position. Then, place the position marker at the end position of the target. The next high to low transition (3-second low level) will set the termination position. Finally, restore the low level of pin 4 and the high level of pin 8.
If a system with two position markers is used, both positions will be reprogrammed simultaneously.
If programming is not completed within 60 seconds, i.e. the time from the rising edge of pin 8 (ROG) to the end position being read exceeds 60 seconds, the start/end position will be ignored and not written into the sensor's EEPROM.
Conditions for continuous programming:
Time control must meet the requirements
The termination position should be greater than the starting position
There should be no error state, for example: if the system uses two magnets, both magnets must work properly
