AlgaeChek is a portable fluorescence detector that provides an economical and reliable means of detecting organic pollutants and identifying potentially harmful blue-green algae pollution. This fluorescence detector is a single parameter detector that can be pre-set to detect chlorophyll a, phycocyanin, phycocyanin, or tracer dyes as needed. The content of chlorophyll-a is closely related to the total amount of algae and is often used as an indicator of water quality and eutrophication. Phycocyanin and phycocyanin are natural pigments found in blue-green algae in seawater or freshwater.
