Product Details

Compared to our standard reflective integrating sphere, IS50-LS can increase the light intensity by 100 times, and it has important value in reflective measurement applications. It combines an integrating sphere and a halogen lamp light source, directly illuminating the dispersed halogen lamp light onto the sample without the loss of fiber coupling. It has an SMA interface that can be directly connected to the fiber optic spectrometer of Wenyi Optoelectronics for collecting reflected signals.


IS50-LS is most commonly used for dark, low reflectivity materials with greatly limited signal strength, as well as near-infrared spectroscopy measurements.

IS50-LS has an inner diameter of 50mm, a sampling port of 10mm, and an SMA reference interface. The 5W tungsten halogen lamp is stabilized and cooled by forced airflow. The configuration includes a 5V/4A power supply. By using a switch cable, it is possible to remotely switch on/off.

When we use a regular integrating sphere to detect products with high absorption, the signals collected will be very weak. Therefore, we have developed an enhanced integrating sphere IS50-LS, which integrates the light source inside the integrating sphere.

IS50-LS is an ideal combination of integrating sphere and built-in halogen tungsten lamp light source. This integrating sphere can be applied in reflection measurement, with a diffused tungsten halogen light source as the illumination source. The collimated SMA measurement port can be connected to a spectrometer to measure the reflection spectrum signal. The advantage of the built-in tungsten halogen light source is that it has a light intensity 100 times higher than that of a regular integrating sphere and an external fiber coupled tungsten halogen lamp when shining on the sample, making it particularly suitable for dark, low reflectivity materials and NIR spectral measurement.
