Geotek Company Introduction:

DIGITAL CORE REPOSITORY is a core digitization and visualization software system designed for GEOTEK's core library in the UK. It features simple operation and graphical data visualization, enabling one-to-one correspondence between core images and data.
The architecture and features of Geodek's Digital Core Library (DCR) are powerful yet easy-to-use software systems used for archiving and storing large amounts of core related data, including data from the Geodek Core Comprehensive Testing System and logging data and images obtained from X-ray imaging. The software directly uses geographic spatial coordinates and links to drilling locations and core data, including logging data, core analysis research results, thin layer profiles, SEM, etc.

The digital core library interface provides direct access to three parts: data management, data visualization, and data analysis. The user interface is designed as a typical standard dashboard, covering all the contents of the core data workflow. At the same time, the interface can be supplemented according to user needs to meet special data requirements.

DCR software is a program based on a browser that directly connects to a backend data server. It embeds the latest developed core visualization suite and provides users with a series of customized modules based on cloud technology, enabling seamless connection among a large amount of stored core data. The database has a clear organizational structure designed specifically for core data and related earth science records, making it easy for users to access.

The powerful functionality of the database software is attributed to our adoption of a market leading database engine, which organizes core and image data into a fast, efficient, and lossless data structure. Our software has an industry-leading feature that creates unique links between different types of data, binds data in different formats to relative rock cores as required, and allows users to view relevant data without searching. The visual graphical interface of the software best reflects the power of this feature. The core data is directly linked in the form of points in depth order on the digital core in the interface, which can be viewed wherever the mouse clicks (as shown in the left figure).
In addition, we have specifically developed a data matrix tool that allows for easy browsing of databases. The data matrix is a highly efficient navigation tool that allows for easy positioning and browsing of available data, data types, and audit records for each core in DCR (as shown in the figure on the right).
The Geodek digital core repository software is designed specifically for companies and government agencies operating core repositories, and provides a complete database and visualization solution. At the same time, this software can be used in conjunction with all of Geotek's core scanning devices, which can store and input new core data in real time, as well as old data that has already been measured. It can also display all data for a specified core (as shown in the figure below).

The delivery of the digital core storage software will be carried out in three stages:
1. Review and planning

Digital core library software is usually based on MySQL database. If the customer needs it, we can redo some of the first stage's work at this stage to fully respond to the user's special requirements for the backup database
We adopt an access restriction system that allows local, external, and remote end-users to access the web. Different user access permissions and data openness levels can be specified in the first stage based on user needs
2. Customization of backend database
User interface development allows for visual access to data stored in external databases.
A series of new interfaces for linking and displaying old data.
Powerful search function, driven by the map interface, allowing users to search by field, name, hydrocarbon type, or coring time.
New administrator privileges to ensure that customer database administrator accounts can fully control access to the database by different user groups
3. Customization of front-end user interface
