Over the past six months, the Earth's magnetic field has been rapidly weakening. The Swarm satellite array consists of three independent satellites. According to the magnetometer carried on the satellites, the weakest point of the geomagnetic field appears in the western hemisphere, while in areas such as the southern Indian Ocean, the geomagnetic field tends to strengthen.

Scientists still cannot determine the reason for the weakening of the geomagnetic field, but they believe that one of the reasons may be that the geomagnetic field is preparing for a reversal. From data analysis, the North Pole of the geomagnetic field is migrating towards Siberia. The reversal of magnetic poles is not completed overnight, it does not take thousands of years, but at least hundreds of years, and the Earth has undergone many magnetic pole reversals in the past.
