Product Details

Echoview is a powerful and flexible software for underwater acoustic data processing. After years of development, it has been recognized by global fisheries and environmental scientists as an important tool for studying fishery resources and marine and freshwater ecological environments.

Main functions

Fishery resource assessment

Fishery resource assessment is crucial for the management of marine and freshwater resources. Echoview provides rich and powerful tools, equations, and operators for quantitative analysis of acoustic data, supporting commonly used fishery echo sounders and sonar data formats.

lBrowse and calibrate data

lDescribe noise and other distorted data

lDetecting fish or planktonic animal populations

lCalculate underwater depth

lBy setting parameters or manually classifying acoustic data

lProcessing acoustic data from multiple analysis variables and angles

Behavioral&Ecological Research

By using Echoview analysis software, echo sounder and sonar data can provide unparalleled information at the individual (such as fish, shrimp), population (such as fish schools, water layers), and interval (spatial and/or temporal) levels.

lDetecting and tracking individual targets

lAssess individual size

lDetecting fish schools

lTemporal and spatial partitioning of acoustic data

lData visualization, acoustic and video data synchronization

lDescribe individuals, groups, and intervals based on their location, form, acoustic energy, and environment

Habitat classification

Acoustic backscatter measurements of the seabed can provide information about the properties of the substrate (such as hard or soft, rough or smooth, sand or gravel) and water depth,

Help researchers better understand the habitat conditions of aquatic animals.

lDetermine and describe the first underwater echo and the second underwater echo

lQuantify and simplify the bottom features through principal component analysis (PCA)

lClassify bottom sampling points using K-means clustering method

EchoviewSoftware module

Echoview software is a modular software that allows for flexible selection and addition of various functional modules based on your current and future needs.

Core module (Echoview Essentials)

Read data from sonar equipment and display echo maps, detect the bottom of the water and define other reference lines, create a 3D digital terrain model of the bottom of the water, and display map data. Perform basic quality control, conduct data analysis, and export results.

Real time viewing module (Live Viewing)

Real time display of echo map, cruising trajectory, and 3D underwater of the echo sounder.

Habitat Classification module

Perform substrate analysis and classification on single beam and split beam data for substrate type identification and habitat mapping, and then output and view the classification results. Export data to third-party substrate type classification software such as QTC IMPACT and EchoIMPACT.

Additional modules: To obtain the following modules, authorization for the Echoview core module is required.

Media module
Synchronize the display of video and echo data.

Automation module

The user selects a programming language for data processing automation (requires COM interface).

Advanced Operators module

By creating a new echo map from an existing one and then applying advanced operators and algorithms to manipulate it. Used to compare differences in multiple frequency data, quality control, data classification, etc.

Fish Tracking Module
Detect and analyze the trajectory of a single fish, perform fish counting and behavior analysis.

School Detection Module
Detect and analyze fish schools in the echo maps of single beam and split beam data.

Multibeam Fish Tracking Module

Detecting, tracking, and analyzing individual fish in single beam, split beam, and multi beam systems, as well as in data analysis using imaging sonar.

Multibeam School Detection Module

Detecting, tracking, and analyzing groups or bubbles in multi beam system data.
