Product Introduction
Monochrome standard, 3-window colorimeter, designed specifically for visual measurement of chromaticity grading. By directly comparing the standard sample with the glass filter embedded in the colorimetric disc, the chromaticity level value can be obtained. Observing the standard sample and two adjacent glass filters simultaneously makes it easier for users to find the most matching chromaticity. The halogen tungsten lamp light source complies with the CIE standard illumination source and maintains a constant light source condition.

Add half a bottle of sample into a cylindrical glass bottle with an inner diameter of 33mm. To eliminate the influence of glass cell walls on color measurement, two other 33mm cylindrical glass bottles were filled with distilled water and placed together with the sample bottle inside the instrument, with the sample cell located in the middle. The prism refracts the colors of the sample and two standard plates simultaneously into a unified field of view. Samples that are not clear and transparent, such as paraffin, should be heated above the melting point before measurement. Dark samples with a chromaticity unit greater than 8.0 can be measured by diluting them with kerosene solvent.

Introduction to ASTM Color Standards:
The ASTM color code defined by ASTMD1500 is the most commonly used standard for detecting the color of petroleum. According to ASTM chromaticity, 16 glass filters with calibrated light projection and chromaticity were embedded in two chromaticity plates, increasing from 0.5 (shallowest) to 8.0 (deepest) at intervals of 0.5 chromaticity units.
