The zinc oxide lightning arrester DC characteristic tester launched by Yangzhou Topu Electric Technology Co., Ltd. is used to detect internal defects of poor electrical contact between MOA valves of gapless zinc oxide lightning arresters used in 10kV and below power systems. According to the provisions of 14.2 in the "Preventive Test Code for Power Equipment" DL/T596-1996, power plants and substations should conduct leakage current detection of metal oxide lightning arresters under DC 1mA voltage (U1mA) and 0.75 U1mA before and when necessary during the thunderstorm season every year.

Precautions
1. Before testing, please make sure to connect the test sample and then press the 'Test' button! If a test error message appears after pressing the test button, it indicates that there is a poor contact defect inside the MOA or that the external wiring is not secure. Check if there is a problem with the external wiring or replace the test sample before proceeding to the next test.
2. Before testing, please ensure that the internal battery is fully charged. If the undervoltage light is on, please charge it promptly. Prolonged undervoltage can seriously damage the rechargeable battery.
3. During the measurement process, if the high voltage indicator light is on, it indicates that there is high voltage output. Do not approach the high voltage line. After the detection is completed, the instrument will automatically discharge and the high voltage indicator light will turn off. Only then can the test wiring be removed or the test sample be replaced for the next test.
4. This product must be packed during transportation. Cartons or wooden cases can be used as packing cases, and foam shockproof layer should be padded in the packing cases. Packaged products should be able to be transported by road or railway. During transportation, it is not allowed to be placed in an open cargo box. The warehouse should pay attention to rain, dust, and mechanical damage prevention.
5. When the instrument is not in use, it should be stored indoors at an ambient temperature of -20 ℃ to 60 ℃, with a relative humidity not exceeding 85%, ventilated, and free of corrosive gases. Storage should not be placed close to the ground or walls.
6. In humid areas or seasons, if this instrument is not used for a long time, it is required to be powered on once a month (about two hours) to dissipate moisture and protect the components.
