What are the precautions for the series resonance tester
Date: 2025-11-03Read: 1
The series resonance tester must strictly follow the following precautions during use to ensure test safety, equipment stability, and accurate results:1、 Personnel and Qualification Requirements
-
Professional Operation
It must be operated by professionals specializing in high-voltage testing. Before use, it is necessary to carefully read the instructions and undergo repeated operation training to become familiar with the equipment performance and operating procedures. -
staffing
At least 2 people are required to collaborate on the test site, strictly follow the safety regulations for high-voltage testing in our unit, and clarify the division of labor (such as operation, supervision, recording, etc.).
2、 Equipment inspection and connection
-
unboxing inspection
Check the integrity of the equipment according to the packing list, and immediately contact the supplier if any missing or damaged items are found. -
Wiring accuracy
- Strictly connect each circuit according to the circuit diagram to avoid equipment damage or test failure caused by incorrect connections.
- The grounding wire must be reliably connected to ensure effective conductivity between the equipment casing, grounding column, and grounding grid, in order to prevent electric shock.
- The output voltage of the excitation transformer is connected to the lower end of the lower reactor through a grounded traction cable. The reactor on the high-voltage output line is kept away from the compensating capacitor and voltage divider to prevent high-voltage discharge.
-
Insulation bracket usage
Whether it is the air lift test or the test object test, the lowest section of the reactor must be separated from the ground by an insulated bracket to avoid eddy current losses.
3、 Experimental environment and safety measures
-
Environmental Requirements
- Avoid high temperature, high humidity, flammable and explosive, or strong magnetic field environments to prevent equipment performance degradation or safety accidents.
- A safe area shall be designated at the test site, warning signs shall be set up, and a dedicated person shall be responsible for guarding it. Unauthorized personnel are prohibited from approaching.
-
Power supply and grounding
- The power supply adopts two independent 380V fire protection lines, and the 220V instrument power supply is separated from the 380V line to avoid interference.
- If using a generator power supply, ensure that the neutral wire is grounded; When there is no grounding device, a metal rod can be buried in damp ground (depth ≥ 120cm) as a temporary grounding.
-
safety distance
Maintain the maximum distance between the variable frequency power supply and the reactor to prevent high-voltage discharge or arc burns.
4、 Test operation specifications
-
Air lift test
Before the formal test, conduct an air lift test with a voltage of 80% of the rated voltage of the equipment to verify the equipment status and wiring correctness. -
Parameter Settings
-
Device voltageWhen leaving the factory, it should be set in conjunction with the voltage divider and must not be modified, otherwise it may cause measurement errors. Record this value during startup for subsequent verification.
-
output voltage:
- The Q value of the test sample with large capacitance or high loss (such as generator, long cable) system is low, and the output voltage is set to 30V~50V;
- Generally set to 10V~20V;
- When testing cables below 10kV and within 500m, the output voltage should be set to 10V to prevent voltage exceeding the limit when searching for resonance points.
-
Tuning and Boosting
- It is strictly prohibited to directly increase the voltage without tuning, otherwise it may damage the excitation transformer.
- Confirm that the voltage regulating transformer is in zero position before boosting, and the boosting process is uniform and slow. Closely monitor the status of the high-voltage circuit and the tested object (such as noise and heat).
-
exception handling
- If overvoltage, overcurrent, IPM protection or discharge protection occurs during the experiment, the power supply must be disconnected and restarted.
- The variable frequency controller runs continuously for more than 30 minutes. After disconnecting, let the fan continue to work and dissipate heat before turning off the power.
5、 Post experiment operation
-
Power outage sequence
After the experiment is completed, exit the experimental state first and then cut off the power to avoid sudden power failure and equipment damage. -
Equipment maintenance
- Clean the casing with a damp cloth and neutral cleaner, and do not use abrasives or solvents.
- Regularly check the insulation performance of the equipment to ensure no aging or damage.
