The maintenance and upkeep of lightning impulse generators are key to ensuring their long-term stable operation, extending their service life, and ensuring testing safety. Specific measures include daily cleaning, moisture-proof treatment, mechanical lubrication, component protection, troubleshooting, operating standards, and regular calibration

1、 Daily cleaning

  • Clean the surfaceRegularly wipe the surface of the generator, especially key parts such as the insulation platform and insulation rod, to prevent dust accumulation from affecting the insulation performance.
  • Clean the interiorRegularly clean the interior of the equipment, especially key parts such as heat sinks and fans, to maintain good ventilation conditions. Use specialized cleaning agents and tools to avoid damaging the surface or internal components of the equipment.

2、 Moisture proof treatment

  • Control humidityDuring operation and idle, the generator should be protected from moisture. When the surrounding air humidity is too high for a long time, the cover plate of the insulation cylinder should be opened, or clean hot air should be blown into the bottom ventilation holes to dry the condensation on the inner wall of the insulation cylinder.
  • Dry environmentThe equipment should be placed in a dry and well ventilated environment to avoid adverse factors such as moisture and dust.

3、 Mechanical lubrication

  • Regular lubricationAfter a period of use, lubricating oil should be added to each mechanical transmission part to reduce wear and friction and ensure smooth operation of the equipment.

4、 Component protection

  • Protecting semiconductor paintThe semiconductor paint on the surface of the upper ceramic bushing of the high-voltage rectifier transformer near the middle flange should be well protected. If there is strong corona due to wear or failure, semiconductor anti corona paint should be sprayed immediately to make the corona basically disappear.
  • Check the status of the componentsRegularly check whether all components of the equipment are intact, especially key parts such as high-voltage cables and connectors. When oil leakage or abnormal internal noise is found, it should be immediately stopped from use. After repair and passing the test, it can be put back into use.

5、 Troubleshooting

  • Ignition pulse systemIf the ignition pulse system is not working properly, check for short circuits or open circuits in all parts of the ignition pulse system and repair them in a timely manner.

6、 Operating standards
