Precautions for Hausparker flowmeter
Date: 2025-12-22Read: 2
During the installation, use, and maintenance of the House Parker flowmeter, it is important to pay attention to the following precautions to ensure its measurement accuracy, extend its service life, and ensure operational safety:

1、 Installation precautions

  1. Requirements for straight pipe sections
    • Sufficient straight pipe sections should be reserved before and after the flowmeter. The length of the upstream straight pipe section is recommended to be no less than 10 times the pipe diameter (10D), and the downstream straight pipe section should be no less than 5 times the pipe diameter (5D).
    • reasonAfter flowing through components such as elbows and valves, fluid will generate turbulence. Adequate straight pipe sections can restore stable flow and avoid measurement deviations. For example, if the upstream is adjacent to a 90 degree bend and no straight pipe section is reserved, it may result in a deviation of 10% -15% in the reading of the ultrasonic flowmeter.
  2. Avoid vibration and electromagnetic interference
    • The installation location should be far away from large power equipment (such as compressors and pumps) and strong electromagnetic fields (such as high-voltage substations).
    • reasonVibration may damage the precision components inside the sensor, and electromagnetic interference can distort the signal, causing data fluctuations or distortions.
  3. Installation direction and fluid flow direction
    • Determine the installation direction based on the type of flow meter (such as horizontal or vertical), and ensure that the arrow points in the same direction as the fluid flow.
    • Special requirementsThe mass flow meter needs to be installed horizontally to ensure that the Coriolis force acts within the optimal vertical plane of gravity; When installed vertically, the fluid should flow from bottom to top to avoid bubble attachment.
  4. Sealing and concentricity
    • Suitable sealing gaskets (such as polytetrafluoroethylene gaskets for corrosive fluids) should be used at the connection points, and bolts should be tightened evenly to prevent leakage.
    • Ensure that the concentricity error between the flowmeter and the pipeline does not exceed 0.5mm-1mm, to avoid uneven flow velocity distribution caused by eccentric installation.
  5. environmental conditions
    • Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, or humid environments to prevent aging of the casing or damage to electronic components.
    • The grounding resistance should be less than 10 ohms to eliminate static electricity and electromagnetic interference.

2、 Precautions for use

  1. Pre-start preparation
    • Exhaust the air inside the pipeline to ensure that the tested medium is filled with the pipeline and avoid damaging the equipment due to idling.
    • Check the installation direction, sealing performance, and parameter settings (such as fluid density, pipe diameter, etc.) to ensure they match the actual working conditions.
  2. operation monitoring
    • Closely observe parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature to avoid exceeding the rated range.
    • Regularly check whether the display screen is displaying normally, and whether the cables and connectors are loose or oxidized.
  3. Medium adaptability
    • Select the appropriate flow meter type based on fluid characteristics such as temperature, pressure, viscosity, and corrosiveness.
    • For media containing solid particles or high hardness water, filters (with an accuracy of 50-200 microns) or descaling equipment should be installed to prevent scaling or sedimentation.

3、 Maintenance precautions

  1. regular cleaning
    • The cleaning method shall be selected according to the type of flowmeter: mechanical removable parts cleaning, electronic special detergent spray cleaning surface.
    • Avoid using highly corrosive chemicals, ensure dryness after cleaning, and prevent residual moisture or impurities.
  2. Seal inspection and replacement
    • Regularly inspect sealing rings, O-rings, and other components, and replace them promptly if aging or damage is found.
    • For portable flow meters, soap water can be used for leak inspection.
  3. Calibration and zero point adjustment
    • Calibrate at least once a year, and increase the frequency appropriately for high-precision or critical positions.
    • Zero point inspection should be conducted at least once every three months, and the interval can be shortened when production permits. Ensure that there is no fluid flow in the pipeline during adjustment, and record the zero point values before and after zeroing.
  4. data management
    • Regularly export historical data, record the trend of changes in parameters such as flow rate, temperature, and pressure, and provide reference for maintenance.
  5. Professional Maintenance and Training
    • Complex faults require contacting professional technicians for maintenance to avoid equipment damage caused by improper operation.
    • Regularly train operators to ensure they are familiar with basic principles, daily maintenance methods, and troubleshooting skills.
