The function of the encoder:

Function: Encoder is a device that encodes and converts signals or data into signal forms that can be used for communication, transmission, and storage. Encoders convert angular or linear displacement into electrical signals
Classification of encoders:
Encoders are divided into two categories: incremental encoders and absolute value encoders.
Incremental encoder: It emits a pulse signal every time it rotates a unit angle.
Absolute value encoder: corresponding to one circle, each reference angle emits a binary value corresponding to that angle, which can be recorded and measured at multiple positions through external recording devices.
The principle and purpose of encoder:
1. Principle: It is composed of a photoelectric encoder with a central axis, on which there are circular transparent and dark engraved lines. It is read by photoelectric emitting and receiving devices, and outputs a signal per revolution
2. Application: Widely used in various production lines and equipment.
4、 Main parameters of the encoder:
Encoder types: incremental and absolute value
Measurement object: motor speed, etc
Electrical configuration: 1. Long line drive RS232 output
2. Push pull output
3. Long line drive RS422 output
Resolution: The resolution provided by the encoder in terms of the number of through or dark lines per 360 degrees of rotation is called resolution, also known as resolution division, or directly referred to as how many lines, generally ranging from 5 to 10000 lines per rotation division
