What kind of inductor is most suitable for what size of smartphone screen
Date: 2014-02-17Read: 12

In recent years, the development of smartphones seems to be inseparable from the direction of large screens, high-end configurations, and ultra-thin screens. In order to pursue larger screens and more stunning audio and video effects, Samsung has even launched 8.0-inch mobile tablets, ranging from the 3.5-inch to 6.1-inch of the iPhone 4. However, market research results show that many users find it difficult to tolerate the inconvenience caused by large screen phones after trying them out in the short term. They hide them at home as toys for their children and instead purchase models with screens around 5.0 inches. So, the bigger the phone screen, the better? Is there still an upper limit? What is the reasonable size for a smartphone that combines visual effects and one handed operation? What does this mobile application look likeinductanceWhat about it?

A research report released by UXMatters on user grip and operation habits of mobile phones tells us that 49% of users use one handed grip, 36% use grip (i.e. holding the phone with both hands while touching the screen or keyboard with only one hand), and only 15% use two handed grip.

So, what is the most reasonable screen size for a phone when held with one hand?

Researchers at Springer Link conducted an experiment on the impact of smartphone size on operational performance. The research subjects cover smartphone screens ranging from 3.5 inches to 6.1 inches, and the efficiency of one handed operation is tested in four directions: diagonal, horizontal, vertical, and center crossing. The report states that:

According to the analysis results, in the current Android ecosystem and Apple's IOS system, 4-inch touchscreen phones produce the least number of operational errors, possibly due to one handed operation.inductanceChoose the integrated inductor as the * option. But for better visual effects, a 4-inch phone screen is still too small.

Considering personal user experience and the convenience of one handed operation, the author recommends a 4.7-inch mobile phone screen. I once used a Veaka phone with a 4.7-inch screen, which controlled the width of the phone within 72mm. With narrow border technology and a 16:9 screen ratio, it ensured that the screen size was large enough, and the visual performance could achieve a one handed operation experience. On the other hand, the Veaka phone, with its outstanding UI optimization, concentrates most phone operations at the bottom of the screen, providing an incredibly smooth one handed operation experience.

There are not many phones designed in this way, and a typical example is Apple. Starting from iPhone 5, Apple has increased the screen size from 3.5 inches to 4.0 inches while maintaining the 16:9 aspect ratio and width, but unfortunately it is still slightly smaller.

This method brings a small problem: the length of the body exceeds the length of the longest finger (usually the index or middle finger), making it difficult to click on the area or button above the screen. This needs to be solved by optimizing the UI of the phone. Fortunately, phones that adopt this design have very powerful UI systems. In addition to Apple's IOS, there is also the excellent UIMarx OS of Veaka phones. The one click design of UIMarx * makes phone functions easy to handle, practical and easy to use, successfully achieving a balance between visual experience and one handed control.
