MEMSIC has developed a 2-axis acceleration sensor for vehicle body control. The US government has mandated that all cars supplied to the US market after 2012 must be equipped with a Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) device, and this sensor is intended for use in the VSC product.
　　
The acceleration detection range of this component is ± 5g. The zero g compensation voltage is ± 30mg, which is achieved within the temperature range of -40 to 105 ℃. The output interface is SPI. The characteristic of the company's acceleration sensor is that it does not have a mechanical movable part, and the failure rate of the product after supply has been controlled at a single digit ppm value, so it has been used for vehicle applications before.
