What are the precautions for SycoTec electric spindle

When using the SycoTec electric spindle, the following precautions should be taken to ensure its safe, efficient operation and extended service life:
  1. Frequency converter matching and setting
    • The electric spindle needs to be used in conjunction with a frequency converter, and the specifications and parameter settings of the frequency converter should match the rated parameters of the electric spindle, otherwise it may burn out the electric spindle.
    • The power supply connected to the frequency converter must be filtered and stabilized to ensure no voltage fluctuations. The three-phase power lines of the frequency converter should be connected correctly. After connecting the power, it is necessary to jog and observe whether the rotation direction of the electric spindle is consistent with the indicated direction. If it is not consistent, it should be immediately shut down and corrected.
  2. Cooling system and temperature control
    • The coolant of the electric spindle must be kept clean and the temperature should be controlled between 5-30 ℃. It is recommended to use a water cooling device for heat dissipation and regularly check the operation of the water cooling device.
    • If the motor is not sufficiently cooled or an inappropriate power supply is used, it can cause abnormal temperature rise, and cooling measures need to be taken.
  3. Break in and low-speed operation
    • The new electric spindle should be run in at low speed before use. Starting from the speed of the electric spindle, it should be adjusted step by step at 3000 rpm intervals every 30 minutes. Directly starting at high speed without running in will produce abnormal noise, noise, heating and other phenomena, which seriously affect the service life.
    • The electric spindle must run at low speed for 15-20 minutes before processing every day.
  4. Tool clamping and cleaning
    • When clamping the tool for the electric spindle, the cylinder clamp, nut, and inner taper hole should be cleaned thoroughly to avoid affecting the accuracy.
    • The cone surface of the chuck must be kept clean and free of scratches, otherwise it will change the accuracy of the cone surface at the front end of the spindle rotor, resulting in the inability to lock the tool and causing tool dropping or breakage.
  5. Regular operation and maintenance
    • If the electric spindle is not used for a long time, it should be turned on (at low speed) for at least 15-30 minutes within a week.
    • It is necessary to shut down the electric spindle at the appropriate time every day in order to restore mechanical fatigue.
    • Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, including checking the wear of cutting tools and fixtures, and replacing worn parts in a timely manner.
  6. Anti collision and sealing
    • The spindle cannot be subjected to any direction or form of impact. After impact, the dynamic balance will be destroyed, and even the bearings may be damaged, affecting the service life of the spindle.
    • After ventilation, each spindle can reach a sealed state, and the sealing gas pressure needs to be strictly controlled. Excessive air pressure can damage the lubricating grease or lubrication system of the bearing, while insufficient air pressure cannot achieve the sealing effect.
  7. Professional operation and maintenance
    • Please use the corresponding professional tools for disassembling and assembling the chuck. If there are any problems with the spindle, please do not disassemble or assemble it without authorization. If any traces of unauthorized disassembly or assembly are found, no warranty treatment will be carried out.
    • When encountering abnormalities while using the SycoTec high-speed electric spindle, it is essential to promptly contact after-sales service, send it back, and have it inspected by professional personnel.
