When using Danfoss hydraulic pumps, the following precautions should be taken to ensure stable operation of the equipment and extend its service life:
-
Installation foundation and connection
- Ensure that the pump is installed on a stable and vibration free foundation to avoid vibration or movement during operation.
- Elastic couplings should be used to connect the pump and the output shaft of the prime mover. It is strictly prohibited to install pulleys or gear drives directly on the pump shaft. If pulleys or gears are required, they should be installed through supports, and the coaxiality error should not exceed 0.05mm.
- The oil suction pipe should be as short, straight, large, and thick as possible, and a coarse filter with a nominal flow rate not less than twice the pump flow rate (filtration accuracy of 80-180 μ m) should be installed. It is not advisable to install oil filters on the suction pipeline of the plunger pump. The diameter of the shut-off valve should be one size larger than the pipeline, the length of the pipeline should be less than 2500mm, and there should be no more than two elbows.
- The inlet and outlet of the hydraulic pump are securely installed and sealed to prevent air intake or oil leakage.
-
Oil management
- Regularly check the quality of the oil and the condition of the filter, replace or clean it in a timely manner, and prevent oil contamination or filter blockage from causing damage to the pump body.
- The oil temperature should be kept below 60 ℃. The selected oil should have the characteristics that the viscosity is less affected by temperature changes, as well as good chemical stability and foam resistance. Recommend using L-HM32 or L-HM46 anti-wear hydraulic oil.
- The suction and return ports should be located 200mm below the lowest oil level of the tank, and the return pressure should not exceed 0.05MPa.
- The self-priming height of the hydraulic pump shall not exceed 500mm (or the inlet vacuum degree shall not exceed 0.03MPa). If a supplementary oil pump is used for oil supply, the pressure shall not exceed 0.5MPa.
-
Start and Run
- Before starting, ensure that the power supply is stable and operate according to the requirements for starting the motor. When starting for the first time, jog several times to confirm that the oil flow direction and sound are normal. Then, run under low pressure for 5-10 minutes before putting it into normal operation.
- Before starting the plunger pump, clean working oil must be filled into the pump through the drain port on the casing.
- Regularly check the status of the pump during operation to ensure no abnormal noise or vibration. Avoid operating at the highest pressure and speed for a long time to avoid affecting the lifespan of the pump.
-
Pressure regulation and maintenance
- When adjusting pressure, it is necessary to first confirm the maximum working pressure and pressure regulation range of the pump to avoid overpressure damage to the equipment.
- Regularly check the status of the regulating valve and electronic controller to ensure their normal operation. If pressure fluctuations or system abnormalities are found, promptly contact professional personnel for maintenance.
- Regularly inspect the pump, including oil level, seals, bearings, etc., to ensure that it is in good condition. Clean the surface and interior of the pump to prevent debris and dirt from affecting performance. According to lubrication requirements, regularly lubricate the pump.
-
Shutdown and Safety
- Operate according to the motor shutdown requirements and close the corresponding valves during shutdown.
- When making any adjustments or maintenance, ensure compliance with safety operating procedures, cut off power, and take safety measures to prevent accidents from occurring.
