The installation and usage steps of CDMA network timing server are as follows:1、 Installation steps
-
Equipment inspection and preparation
- After opening the box, check whether the appearance of the equipment is intact and confirm that all accessories are complete (such as antennas, power cords, network cables, etc.).
- Measure the required antenna length in advance to avoid cutting the cable and reconnecting it without authorization, in order to ensure the effectiveness of satellite signal reception.
-
Temporary Test
- Connect the timing antenna to the server and place the antenna by the window or in an open outdoor location.
- After turning on the device, wait for 2-3 minutes (adjust the time according to the signal strength) and observe whether the device displays the current number of satellites and their working status. If the satellite can be received normally, then the equipment and antenna functions are normal.
-
Fixed installation of antenna
- Install the antenna in outdoor open spaces such as rooftops, balconies, or air conditioning outdoor units, and secure it with matching brackets and screws.
- According to building regulations, antennas should be installed within the scope of lightning protection measures; If you are worried about lightning strikes, you can install lightning arresters between the host and the antenna (without affecting signal reception).
-
Device connection and configuration
- Connect the antenna to the "ANT" interface of the server and observe the front panel indicator light:
-
Power indicator lightConstant illumination indicates that the device is powered on normally.
-
Second pulse indicator lightFlashing indicates that the device is receiving a CDMA signal, and after stabilizing, it displays the standard time.
-
Lock indicator lightConstant light indicates successful time synchronization, while flashing indicates synchronization failure.
- Connect the server to a computer or local area network via Ethernet cable, and log in to the device management interface using software or web pages (default settings are through web pages, no third-party software needs to be installed).
-
Network parameter configuration
- Change the default IP and gateway of the server to an address in the same network segment as the local area network.
- Open the time settings in the bottom right corner of the computer, select "Internet Time", "Change Settings", check "Synchronize with Internet Time Server", and set the default server address (such as
time.windows.com)Replace with the server's IP address and click 'Update Now'. If the synchronization is successful, the configuration is complete; If it fails, it is necessary to check the IP address, network wiring, and firewall settings.
2、 Usage method
-
Time synchronization management
- The server provides time synchronization services to computers, routers, switches, and other devices in the network through the NTP/SNTP protocol.
- The supported protocols include NTP, SNTP, ARP, UDP, TCP, Telnet, ICMP, SNMP, DHCP, TFTP, etc., and are compatible with IPv4/IPv6 networks.
- The user capacity exceeds 10000, and the NTP request volume can reach 2400 times per second, meeting the needs of large-scale networks.
-
Status monitoring and maintenance
- Display the current time and device status (such as lock status, signal strength, etc.) through the digital display on the front panel.
- Use the "Menu", "Shift", and "Confirm" buttons for human-computer interaction, setting parameters, or viewing logs.
- Regularly check the operation status of the equipment to ensure normal CDMA signal coverage; If the signal is interrupted, the server can rely on a built-in high stability constant temperature crystal oscillator (OCXO) or rubidium atomic clock to maintain high-precision time output for hours to days.
-
troubleshooting
- If synchronization fails, first check if the network connection and IP configuration are correct.
- Confirm that the Windows Time service on the computer is enabled and fill in the correct server IP in the NTP configuration.
- Check if the antenna is damaged or if its position is reasonable, and if necessary, readjust the antenna position or replace the lightning arrester.
3、 Technical features and advantages
-
High precision and reliability
- Time synchronization accuracy ≤ 3 milliseconds, supporting tens of thousands of clients, meeting the strict requirements for time accuracy in industries such as finance, power, and communication.
- Multi base station synchronization function: When a base station signal is abnormal, it automatically switches to other base stations with good signals to ensure time continuity.
-
Strong environmental adaptability
- Working temperature range: -20 ℃ to+70 ℃, humidity<95%, suitable for harsh environments.
- No need for external antenna: CDMA signal coverage is wide, and the antenna can be installed indoors (such as in a computer room) to avoid the risk of lightning strikes.
