Canadian ASL Public Research InstituteThe ice profiling instrument for research and production, installed on the seabed or underwater mobile platforms, can measure the thickness of ice layers. It is mainly used in offshore oil platforms, coastal structural design, bridges and embankments, warming research, oceanography research, waterway research, etc.

ASL CompanyMore than 200 IPS ice profiling instruments have been produced and widely used in glacier change research in Antarctica and the Arctic. Part of it is used for real-time data transmission, such as the one by Ocean Networks Canada at Cambridge Bay（ http://www.oceannetworks.ca/installations/observatories/arctic/cambridge-bay ）.

Among them, the more widely used is long-term profile monitoring in Antarctica and the Arctic: A number of well-known polar scientists （Dr. Humfrey Melling, Dr. Andrey Proshutinsky, Dr. Jamie Morison, Dr. Takashi Kitauchi, and others ） use our Ice Profiling instruments （IPS5） to conduct subsurface mooring-based Ice Draft Measurements in the Arctic and Antarctic （visit http://www.aslenv.com/IPS.html for more information）.
