What are the safety protection measures for hot air circulation drying oven
Date: 2025-10-21Read: 12
As a high-power high-temperature equipment, the hot air circulation drying oven has five core areas of safety protection measures, including electrical safety, temperature control, mechanical protection, operating standards, and environmental safety. The specific measures are as follows:

1、 Electrical safety protection

  1. Grounding and leakage protection
    • The equipment needs to be equipped with a reliable grounding wire with a grounding resistance of ≤ 4 Ω to prevent electric leakage and shock.
    • Avoid placing the power cord next to metal objects or in a humid environment to prevent rubber aging and electrical leakage.
    • Select power wires with sufficient cross-sectional area and install power switches with sufficient capacity to avoid overload.
  2. Electrical system inspection
    • Before use, check whether the self-control device and indicator signal are sensitive and effective, and whether the insulation of the electrical circuit is intact.
    • Regularly check the circuit system connections, clean up accumulated dust, and prevent short circuits or poor contacts.

2、 Temperature control protection

  1. Overtemperature alarm and power outage
    • Equipped with an independent temperature limiting alarm device, it automatically cuts off power when the temperature exceeds the set value to prevent equipment or sample damage.
    • The accuracy of the thermostat can usually reach ± 1 ℃~± 3 ℃, ensuring that the temperature inside the box is stable within the target range.
  2. Dual security mechanism
    • The temperature limit protection is linked with the over temperature alarm. When the temperature exceeds the set range, the equipment will automatically power off and issue an alarm.
    • Regularly check the accuracy of the thermostat, and adjust or replace it promptly if it is not accurate.

3、 Mechanical protection and operational safety

  1. Anti scald design
    • The temperature on the door, observation window, and surface of the box is relatively high. When operating, it is necessary to wear insulated gloves to avoid direct contact.
    • The box door is equipped with an adjustable elastic lock to ensure that there is no air leakage or cross flow with the outside during operation.
  2. Mechanical injury prevention
    • The maximum average load of the shelves inside the box is 15Kg. When placing items, avoid being too heavy or too dense, and leave gaps for hot air circulation.
    • High speed operating components (such as fans) adopt safety clearance design and soft metal structure to prevent friction and fire.

4、 Operating standards and emergency response

  1. Item placement restrictions
    • It is strictly prohibited to put flammable, explosive, volatile, or corrosive items into the box, and such items should not be placed near the box.
    • When uncertain about material properties, confirmation from R&D personnel is required before conducting experiments.
  2. Emergency situation handling
    • When there is a sudden power outage, turn off the power switch and heating switch in a timely manner to prevent the heating from automatically starting when the power is on.
    • If the temperature control fails and causes the material to overheat and self ignite, the heating switch and power supply should be immediately turned off, and the box door should not be opened (it burns when exposed to oxygen). At the same time, an alarm should be triggered and external forced cooling should be carried out.
    • When powered on, do not touch the electrical parts of the box with your hands, or use a damp cloth and water to extinguish or rinse.

5、 Environmental safety and maintenance

  1. Ventilation and exhaust
    • Equipped with an adjustable exhaust valve to promptly remove moisture or harmful gases evaporated during the drying process.
    • Regularly check if the ventilation opening is blocked, clean up accumulated dust, and ensure smooth air supply in the air duct.
  2. Equipment maintenance
    • Regularly check if the fan is running normally and if there are any abnormal sounds. If there are any, immediately shut down the machine for inspection and repair.
    • Regularly inspect the heating tube for damage or steam leakage in the steam pipeline, and check for aging in the circuit.
    • After baking items at high temperatures, the main switch should not be turned off immediately. The fan switch should be turned on to allow the heat to dissipate before turning it off.
