Diesel generator: a backup power source to ensure production and daily life

1. Backup power supply
Some electricity consuming units do not have grid power supply, such as islands in mainland China, remote pastoral areas and rural areas, military camps, workstations, radar stations in desert highlands, etc., which require self provided power supply. The so-called self owned power source refers to a self generated power source. In situations where the power generation is not very large, diesel generators often become self owned power sources.
2. Emergency power supply
It is mainly used in emergency power supply equipment with grid power supply to prevent circuit failures or temporary power outages. Units that use power sources generally have high requirements for power supply security, and must use emergency power sources to generate electricity as soon as the grid power is terminated, otherwise it will cause significant losses.
3. Alternative power sources
The main function is to make up for the shortage of grid power supply. There are two situations: one is that the price of grid electricity is too high, and diesel generators are chosen to save costs;
The second issue is the insufficient supply of grid electricity, which limits its usage and requires power rationing. In this case, diesel generators are needed to meet the power supply demand.
4. Mobile power bank
A portable power bank is a power generation device that can be moved without a fixed usage location. Mobile power banks are generally designed in the form of power vehicles, including self-propelled power vehicles and trailer power vehicles.
Units that use mobile power banks mostly have mobile work properties, such as oil fields, geological exploration, field engineering exploration, power supply carriages for trains, ships, freight containers, and military mobile equipment power supplies.
Some mobile power banks also have emergency power supply properties, such as emergency power supply vehicles for urban power supply departments, engineering rescue vehicles for water and gas supply departments, and emergency repair vehicles.
5. Fire emergency power supply
Firefighting generators are mainly equipped as power sources for building firefighting equipment. In the event of a fire or other situation, the mains power is cut off, and the generator set becomes the power source for firefighting equipment. With the widespread application of fire safety laws, the domestic real estate fire power supply has a very large market.
