Firstly, let me explain what the "Beidou Ground based Augmentation System" is. Simply put, it refers to the CORS network, also known as the Continuous Operating Reference Station.
The Sichuan Beidou ground-based augmentation system is currently the most numerous, widely covered, and technologically advanced provincial-level Beidou reference station network in China. It solves the technical difficulties of constructing, renovating, and integrating reference stations under complex terrain conditions in Sichuan, and fills the gap in high-precision Beidou position services in the province. It is compatible with the three major satellite systems of China's Beidou, the United States' GPS, and Russia's GLONASS, and all indicators meet or exceed the current level of ground-based augmentation systems.
Test bidding
In order to purchase good products that truly meet the requirements of system construction, the Sichuan Surveying and Mapping Department has gathered 8 manufacturers for testing since April 2013. The testing area mainly covers the Chengdu Plain and surrounding shallow hills, eastern and northern mountainous areas of Sichuan, southern and southwestern mountainous areas of Sichuan. 53 testing points were selected and deployed within the testing area based on the requirements of point uniformity, different terrains (plains/shallow hills/deep hills/mountains/plateaus), and land types.

In October 2014, the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information conducted a public bidding for the construction of the "Sichuan Beidou Satellite Navigation CORS Station Network", and all top GNSS brands participated in the bidding. After investigation, comparison, analysis, and evaluation, Huace Navigation, with its comprehensive strength, has fully undertaken the construction of SichuanBeidou ground-based augmentation system.

System Composition
The Beidou ground-based augmentation system in Sichuan Province has three major highlights: complex station construction conditions, large investment, and mode. The construction of the entire system adheres to the principle of "autonomy and controllability", consisting of "one network, one heart", which is the Beidou reference station network; 'One Heart' refers to the Sichuan Beidou Navigation Civil High Precision Basic Data Center, which has just been awarded by the Provincial Economic and Information Commission.
The Beidou ground-based augmentation system in Sichuan Province includes a base station network consisting of 100 base stations, a data processing system, an operation service platform, a data broadcasting system, and user terminals. It aims to provide navigation and location services with high standards of planning and construction, and multiple indicators have reached the domestic level.
This system integrates multi satellite and multi frequency data. After testing, it can provide centimeter level high-precision real-time positioning and sub meter level high dynamic real-time positioning according to different user needs, and post static positioning can reach millimeter level. The average initialization time for Beidou satellite positioning supported by the platform is 34.2 seconds, with a re initialization time of 2.8 seconds.
