Guangzhou CNC is the largest CNC system enterprise in China, accounting for over 50% of the domestic CNC market in terms of production and sales volume. Chairman He Minjia said that relying on more than 20 years of accumulation in CNC technology, the company has been engaged in industrial robot research and development since the end of 2006. It has now developed industrial robots with independent intellectual property rights, among which the 8kg handling robot has achieved small-scale production.
It is reported that Guangzhou CNC insists on investing 8% of its sales revenue into technology research and development every year. The company has a professional robot research and development team of over 100 people, and collaborates with universities such as South China University of Technology, Beihang University, Nankai University, and Tianjin University in the field of industrial robot technology. At the same time, they have undertaken multiple key projects such as the National 863 Program and the Key Breakthrough Project in Key Areas of Guangdong and Hong Kong. They have also served as the main supporting units for the development of national standards for industrial robot programming languages and industrial robot communication buses.
He Minjia introduced that industrial robots are products independently developed and produced by Guangzhou CNC, with independent intellectual property rights. It can be widely used in fields such as handling, arc welding, gluing, cutting, scientific research and teaching, machine tool processing loading and unloading, and is suitable for applications in industries such as automobiles, motorcycles, home appliances, tobacco, engineering machinery, logistics, etc.
With just two years of salary investment, one can obtain a 24-hour continuous working rate robot, "said He Minjia. After successful trial production and testing, the product was applied in the company's motor rear cover flexible processing production line, operated by two robots and three CNC machine tools. According to actual statistics, if working for 8 hours a day, about 400 motor rear end covers can be processed, replacing at least two lathe operators. At present, the company is researching the integration of industrial robots, CNC machine tools, automatic conveyors, etc. through a bus platform to achieve intelligent workshop management and achieve the goal of quasi unmanned production.
Yang Xing'an from Guangzhou CNC Marketing Department told me that the robot products currently produced have been sold to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Jiangsu and other places, and have cooperated with companies such as BYD and Zhuhai Gree to promote the application of robots on production lines. They have also cooperated with multiple domestic machine tool manufacturers such as Guangzhou Machine Tool Factory and Shanghai Third Machine Tool Factory to promote the application demonstration of industrial robot machine tool loading and unloading production lines.
