How to connect the wiring of Festo FESTO solenoid valve correctly

The correct wiring of Festo FESTO solenoid valve generally follows the following steps. Firstly, it is necessary to confirm the power supply and select a matching power supply based on the rated voltage of the solenoid valve. Common options include AC 220V, DC 24V, etc. It is essential to ensure that the power supply voltage is within the normal operating range of the solenoid valve.

Next, connect the wires and prepare wires of appropriate specifications. Connect one end of the wire to the wiring terminal of the Festo FESTO solenoid valve, and connect the other end to the power circuit.

When connecting, it is important to distinguish between the positive and negative poles (for DC solenoid valves). Reversing the positive and negative poles may cause the solenoid valve to malfunction or even be damaged; AC solenoid valves generally do not have positive or negative poles.

During the wiring process, it is important to ensure that the wiring is secure and avoid false connections.

Virtual connection may cause poor contact, leading to unstable operation of the Festo FESTO solenoid valve and even sparking, posing a safety hazard.

Screw tightening, welding, and other methods can be used to ensure a stable connection.

In addition, for safety and ease of future maintenance, it is recommended to install appropriate protective devices in the circuit, such as fuses. When an abnormality occurs in the circuit, the fuse can promptly cut off the circuit, protecting the solenoid valve and the entire circuit system.

At the same time, insulation treatment of the circuit should be done well to prevent leakage.

The two wires of the Festo FESTO solenoid valve are usually connected with one wire connected to the positive pole and the other wire connected to the negative pole. The specific wiring steps are as follows:

Confirm power status: Before wiring, make sure the power is turned off and the coil of the solenoid valve is not powered to avoid electric shock or damage to the solenoid valve.

Match voltage and current: Confirm whether the voltage and current of the Festo FESTO solenoid valve match the voltage and current of the power supply. If not matched, it may cause damage or malfunction of the solenoid valve.

Stripping and wiring: Use wire stripping pliers to remove the insulation layer of the wire end, exposing a certain length of metal wire. Then, connect the positive wire to the positive pole of the power supply and the negative wire to the negative pole of the power supply. When wiring, make sure that the metal wire is inserted into the wiring terminal of the solenoid valve and tightened with a screwdriver to avoid looseness or poor contact.

Check wiring: After wiring is completed, it is necessary to check whether the wiring is secure and ensure that there is no looseness or poor contact.

Test Festo FESTO solenoid valve: Turn on the power and test if the solenoid valve is working properly. You can determine whether the solenoid valve is working properly by observing its indicator light or listening to its sound. If the solenoid valve cannot work properly, it is necessary to check whether the wiring is correct, whether the power supply is normal, and whether the solenoid valve itself is damaged.
