Normally open: When the coil is energized, the pilot valve core is reset by the spring, the pilot hole is closed, the upper valve chamber is pressurized by the piston hole and the reset spring thrust, and the solenoid valve is closed. When the coil is powered off, the pilot valve core is reset by the spring, the pilot hole opens, the pressure in the upper chamber of the valve is released, the piston is pushed by the pressure of the lower chamber medium, and the solenoid valve opens.
Attention: If the outlet pressure is greater than the inlet pressure, the medium will conduct in the opposite direction. Check valves can be installed.
The function of explosion-proof solenoid valve
The electromagnetic coil housing of the explosion-proof solenoid valve not only has the explosion-proof function of withstanding gas pressure, but also has the isolation function for gas energy transmission, with high safety performance. It is a series of special solenoid valves designed specifically for transporting flammable and explosive media or for use in explosive hazardous environments. Different explosion-proof levels of solenoid valves should be selected for different environments and fluids.
Principles and characteristics of different types of explosion-proof solenoid valves for FESTO solenoid valves
1. When the FESTO solenoid valve is powered on, the electromagnetic coil generates electromagnetic force to lift the closing member from the valve seat, and the valve opens; When the power is cut off, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring presses the closing member against the valve seat, causing the valve to close.
Features: It can work normally under vacuum, negative pressure, and zero pressure, but the diameter is generally less than 25mm.
2. Distributed direct acting explosion-proof solenoid valve
Principle: It is a principle that combines direct action with pilot action. When there is no pressure difference between the import and export, after connecting the power supply, the electromagnetic force directly lifts the closed parts of the pilot valve and the main valve upwards in sequence, and the valve opens. When the inlet and outlet reach the starting pressure difference, after connecting the power supply, the electromagnetic force will guide the small valve, causing the lower chamber pressure of the main valve to increase and the upper chamber pressure to decrease, pushing the main valve higher by the pressure difference; The pilot valve uses spring force or medium pressure to push the closing component and move downwards to close the valve.
Features: It can also operate under zero pressure difference or vacuum high pressure, but with high power and requires horizontal installation.
3. When the FESTO solenoid valve is powered on, the electromagnetic force opens the pilot hole, and the pressure in the upper chamber rapidly decreases, forming an up and down pressure difference around the closed part. The fluid pressure pushes the closure upwards, causing the valve to open. When the power is cut off, the spring force closes the pilot hole, and the inlet pressure passes through the bypass hole. The chamber quickly generates a decreasing pressure difference around the valve closure, and the fluid pressure pushes the valve closure downwards to close the valve.
Features: High upper limit of fluid pressure range, can be installed (customized) freely, but must meet the fluid pressure difference conditions.
Direct acting zero pressure starting solenoid valve
