The accurate and normal operation of CKD solenoid valves is of great significance for the normal operation and safety of process equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the maintenance of pneumatic control valves.
Key inspection areas for maintenance
Check the chamber wall: Under high pressure difference and corrosive media, the inner walls of the valve body and diaphragm valve are often impacted and corroded by the media, so it is necessary to check their pressure resistance and corrosion resistance.
CKD solenoid valve inspection of valve seat: Due to the infiltration of working medium, the threads on the inner surface of the fixed valve seat are easily corroded, causing the valve seat to relax;
Check the valve core: The valve core is one of the moving parts of the regulating valve and is severely corroded by the medium. During maintenance, it is necessary to carefully inspect all parts of the valve core for corrosion and wear, especially in situations with large pressure differentials where cavitation caused by valve core wear is more severe. Severely damaged spools should be replaced; Check the sealing packing: Check whether the asbestos rope of the packing is dry. If polytetrafluoroethylene packing is used, pay attention to checking its aging condition and whether the mating surface is damaged;
Check whether the rubber film inside the actuator is aging and whether there are cracks.
Daily maintenance of CKD solenoid valve
When CKD solenoid valves use graphite asbestos as packing, lubricating oil should be added to the packing for about three months to adjust the flexibility and usability of the valve. If the packing pressure cap is found to be very low, packing should be added. If the PTFE dry packing is found to have hardened, it should be replaced in a timely manner. During the inspection, attention should be paid to the operation of the regulating valve and whether the valve position indicator is consistent with the regulator output; Regularly use a locator to check the air source for regulating valves, and promptly address any issues found; The regulating valve should always maintain hygiene and component integrity.

The pneumatic actuators of CKD solenoid valves are divided into angular stroke pneumatic actuators and linear stroke pneumatic actuators. Equipped with straight stroke control valve and angular stroke control valve respectively. There are two types of straight stroke pneumatic actuators: pneumatic diaphragm type and piston type. The pneumatic angular stroke actuator is a piston type mechanism. CKD solenoid valves are easier to install than pneumatic control valves. Electric control valves do not require laying gas supply pipelines and can be directly connected to power and control signals for use. During use, the noise is relatively low and the movement is relatively smooth. The pneumatic control valve does not have any lag phenomenon in regulation. Electric control valves have a long service life and high performance, but they cannot automatically reset when power is cut off.
Moreover, CKD solenoid valves have relatively low costs and are widely used in the petrochemical industry due to their characteristics. Pneumatic control valves require accessories such as valve positioners, filter pressure reducing valves, and holding valves, and the installation process is complex. The rubber diaphragm needs to be replaced regularly. When the signal is interrupted or air flows out, the pneumatic control valve can be opened or closed to ensure the safety of the equipment.
