Precautions for using a square frequency converter

The installation environment of the frequency converter should be well ventilated.

2. It is normal for the temperature rise of the electric motor to slightly increase when using a frequency converter compared to operating at power frequency.

3. If a regular electric motor runs at low speed for a long time and the heat dissipation effect deteriorates, it will affect the lifespan of the motor. In this case, a dedicated variable frequency motor or a reduced motor load should be selected.

4. When the altitude exceeds 1000 meters, the frequency converter should be used with a derating, and the output current should be reduced by about 10% for every additional 1000 meters of altitude.

Scrap precautions

When scrapping frequency converters and their components, attention should be paid to:

Explosion of electrolytic capacitors: Electrolytic capacitors inside the frequency converter may explode during incineration.

Waste gas from burning plastics: Plastic, rubber and other products on the frequency converter will produce harmful and toxic gases during combustion.
