When preparing to count, carefully wipe the polished surface clean with mirror paper. The cover glass should also be wiped clean.
　　
2. Cover with a glass slide
　　
The surrounding area that needs to be covered needs to be moistened with distilled water, and then the cover glass should be slowly pushed in from the front end of the counting plate until the edge of the cover glass is in the same position as the grid area of the counting plate.
　　
3. Attention: Cover slips are easily damaged!
　　
The composition of the interference line (Newton's ring) between the external support and the cover slip indicates the accurate position of the cover slip.
