What are the precautions for using SITEMA safety protector
Date: 2025-11-18Read: 2
The precautions for using SITEMA safety protector are as follows

1、 Installation and commissioning precautions

  1. Installation location selection
    • Easy to maintainChoose a location that is easy to inspect and maintain for installation, ensuring sufficient operating space for daily checks and troubleshooting.
    • environmental adaptabilityAvoid installation in environments with high temperature, humidity, corrosive gases, or strong electromagnetic interference to prevent equipment performance degradation or damage.
    • fixation methodChoose the appropriate fixing method based on the device model (such as rack installation or external spring seat) to ensure a secure installation and avoid loosening caused by vibration or impact.
  2. Debugging of sensors and control units
    • Sensor positioningAccurately adjust the sensor position based on the size and location of the protected equipment to ensure that the monitoring range covers critical areas.
    • Sensitivity adjustmentAdjust the sensor sensitivity according to actual working conditions to avoid misoperation caused by environmental interference (such as slight vibration), while ensuring timely response in abnormal situations.
    • Reaction speed testBy simulating abnormal operating conditions (such as overload or falling trends), test the response speed of the control unit to ensure that the locking mechanism can be quickly activated at critical moments.

2、 Precautions for operation and use

  1. Load status monitoring
    • Principle of no-load unlockingThe design principle of SITEMA safety protector requires that the locking system must be in a no-load state before it can be opened. If unlocking is required, first lift the load or ensure that the load is stationary to avoid equipment damage or personnel injury caused by overload.
    • Load direction limitationBefore moving in the direction of the load, it is necessary to confirm that the protector has been unlocked to prevent mechanical failure or safety risks caused by forced movement.
  2. Abnormal situation handling
    • Falling Trend ResponseIf abnormal load position or falling trend is detected, the control unit will immediately activate the locking mechanism (mechanical or hydraulic) to connect the load to the fixed structure and prevent falling. At this time, it is necessary to immediately stop the machine for inspection, eliminate the fault, and then resume operation.
    • Pressure drop protectionIn hydraulic or pneumatic systems, if the pressure drops sharply, the protector will automatically lock to prevent the load from falling due to insufficient pressure. Regularly check the pressure system to ensure stable pressure.

3、 Maintenance and upkeep precautions

  1. regular inspection
    • Visual inspectionCheck the protector casing, sensors, and control unit weekly for damage or looseness to ensure equipment integrity.
    • Functional testingEvery month, the response speed and locking function of the protector are tested by simulating abnormal working conditions to ensure its reliability.
    • Lubrication maintenanceRegularly apply lubricating grease to mechanical components (such as locking rods and guide rails) according to the equipment model to reduce wear and extend service life.
  2. Replacement of accessories
    • Spring seat inspectionIf an external spring seat is used, its elasticity and installation status should be checked regularly to ensure effective absorption of load overshoot and avoid additional burden on the protector.
    • Maintenance of flanges and threaded holesCheck whether the fixed flange and threaded hole are worn or corroded, replace damaged parts in a timely manner, and ensure a firm installation.
