As a key equipment used to measure high-frequency pulse current in power systems, the maintenance of high-frequency pulse transformers should focus on preventing open circuits, overheating, moisture, corrosion, and regular calibration. The specific maintenance methods are as follows:
Operating SpecificationsWhen carrying out maintenance and repair operations on the secondary side circuit, it is necessary to strictly follow the operating procedures to ensure that the secondary side circuit is always in a closed circuit state. For example, before removing the secondary side wiring, it is necessary to short-circuit the secondary side first, and then remove the short-circuit wiring after the operation is completed.
protective deviceInstall protective devices to prevent open circuits in the secondary circuit. Once there are signs of open circuits on the secondary side, the protective devices can act promptly to avoid generating excessive voltage.
Heat dissipation measuresIf the current transformer operates in a high-temperature environment, heat dissipation measures can be taken, such as installing heat sinks or ventilation devices. For example, installing small fans in some enclosed electrical control cabinets to ventilate and dissipate heat from current transformers.
Avoid overloadCurrent transformers are not allowed to operate under long-term overload. Prolonged overload operation can cause severe heating of the iron core, leading to insulation aging and shortened lifespan.
Moisture prevention measuresFor current transformers operating in humid environments, moisture-proof measures should be taken, such as using a well sealed casing and placing desiccants inside.
Anti corrosion treatmentIn environments with chemical corrosion risks, corrosion-resistant casing materials or anti-corrosion treatment should be used for transformers.
Verification cycleAccording to relevant standards and regulations, the current transformer should be regularly calibrated, and a comprehensive calibration should generally be conducted every 3-5 years. The verification content includes testing of parameters such as transformation ratio, polarity, and phase to ensure that the performance of the transformer meets the requirements.
routine inspectionThe normal regular inspection of transformers should be carried out by operators every two hours for transformers that have been put into operation. After the maintenance is completed and accepted, the transformers should be inspected twice within two hours of being put into operation. In the event of a short circuit fault tripping, the transformers should be inspected once. A night light off inspection should be conducted once a week. The inspection includes checking whether the porcelain bottle sleeve is intact, clean, and whether there are any cracks or discharge phenomena; Is the oil level and color normal, and is there any oil leakage or seepage; Is the respirator unobstructed and is there any discoloration due to moisture; Whether the wiring terminals are firm and whether there is any heating phenomenon; Is the sound of the transformer in operation normal, and is there any smoking or abnormal odor
